Severn River

Autumn colors will fade as the temperature drops and the sunlight disappears earlier each evening. But my memories of this summer and many summers past live on. I wait patiently through the next months until I stand in the bright sunshine on my dock.

PG “Shoefiti”

Shoefiti

Shoefiti

Pacific Groveis a quiet, little town that sits on a small outcrop of rock along the central coast of California. It exists in the shadows of its more famous neighbors, Carmel and Pebble Beach. You don’t see much Shoefiti around here. Yesterday, my broker took this photo of her new listing. A good friend who has lived through the AT&T experience for many years notes that the build up seems more subdued this year. Could the economy be affecting this premier event. One notable absence is the promotional cars. Usually there are fleets of Buicks or Chryslers or whatever the sponsor cruising around. I guess the car companies have cutback.

The writer did not mention the added entertainment value of Open Mike nights at the Piano Bar at the Mission Ranch. A few of our local, well-preserved denizens regularly display their singing talent. Not to be missed.
